Like champagne and pompano

Nothing goes with scrambled eggs like avocado. Especially if you cook the eggs in a bit of coconut oil and top it all with Vulcan’s fire salt. It has a flavor that carries you away to an isla d in the Caribbean where steel drums and pina coladas accompany your breakfast.

Which makes the Hell of realizing that your in a Michigan deep freeze in the middle of February even more horrifying.

I thought about putting this one some pureed Cuban black beans, but my ambition fled from me when I was awakened by the sound of the maintenance person at the apartment complex across te street blowing the snow off the sidewalks at 4 a.m.

The headline references a line in Key Largo where Edward G. Robinson’s Johnny Rocco says something like, “Champagne and pompano … they really go together.” I bet if he were here today, Edward G. Robinson would say, “Tough break you being in the a Michigan deep freeze in the middle of February.” Anyway, my point is eggs and avocado go really well together.

There’s a fruit salad of banana, strawberries and blackberries and sprouted sourdough toast. Plus coffee and LaCroix. I’m reading Feet of Clay by Terry Pratchett. I’d talk more about this, but that’s really more a main blog topic.
